Marie-Andree Weiss



Marie-Andree, of counsel to the firm, is a French-American attorney and is admitted to practice law both in New York and in France. With 10 years of experience, she is focused on Intellectual Property Law, including copyright, trademark, domain name, privacy, social media and internet law. Her experience encompasses both American and European Union law.

Marie-Andree writes extensively on contemporary IP legal issues, serves as Vice-Chair of the ABA literary works committee, and is a Fellow at the Transatlantic Technology Law Forum of Stanford Law School and University of Vienna School of Law.

Before becoming an attorney, she worked in the high-end fashion and cosmetics industry in New York and brings her practical business experience to clients’ legal challenges.


Marie-Andree is a longtime baseball fan and she fits in as many weekly tap-dance lessons as her work schedule will permit.


Marie-Andree holds degrees from the University of Strasbourg in art history (M.A.), business law (J.D.), criminal law (LL.M.) and multi-media law (LL.M.).

Marie-Andree is a graduate of the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law with an LL.M. in intellectual property.
